PerfVis+

PerfVis has been extended to PerfVis+, transforming it from a pure visualization tool into a comprehensive analysis environment for timestamp-based network measurements. The new version integrates statistical analysis with the 2D periodic timeline visualization, supports flexible sending patterns, and can ingest external timestamp sources such as packet captures and TWAMP measurements, enabling multi-point and multi-layer timing studies. These improvements allow to uncover fine-grained latency and jitter behaviour, periodic structures, and protocol dynamics that are difficult to see with conventional tools. The work is presented in our new article “PerfVis+: From Timestamps to Insight through Integration of Visual and Statistical Analysis,” published in the Advances in Science, Technology and Engineering Systems Journal (ASTESJ).
